Qua thử nghiệm bằng máy Pentium 4 tốc độ 2,8 Ghz thì các password “yếu” của Word hoặc Excel với 6 ký tự toàn chữ sẽ bị “hạ gục” ở khoảng thời gian dưới 1 phút; password yếu 7 ký tự toàn chữ sẽ bị giải mã trong thời gian khoảng 3 phút; còn 8 ký tự toàn chữ cũng bị bẻ chỉ trong khoảng 30 phút. Với các password mạnh hơn, tức vừa chữ vừa số, nhưng chỉ khoảng 5-7 ký tự thì cũng bị Passware Kit bẻ dễ dàng trong vài giờ.
Passware Kit cũng cung cấp đầy đủ mọi tùy chọn cho người dùng trong quá trình dò tìm password để quá trình giải mã được nhanh hơn. Người dùng có thể thiết lập quá trình tìm kiếm toàn là chữ, toàn là số hay toàn ký tự đặc biệt với số ký tự tuỳ biến...
